Nigel Denby is a registered
Dietitian, Author of
ten successful nutrition books and a broadcaster
across television and Radio both in the UK and across Europe. He is the author of The Denby Report - the leading and authoritative
review of nutritional subjects. Nigel is registered with the
Health Professions Council - and in his clinical work he advises
GPs and consultants on the dietary management of chronic and acute
medical conditions including Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular
Disease and a wide range of digestive and endocrine disorders. Nigel
authors extensive papers for clinical journals including Complete
Nutrition, Network Health Dietitians as well as speaking
at scientific conferences including the British Menopause Society
Annual Conference, Nutrition and Health Conference, British
Society of Gastroenterology Conference and Nursing and
Midwifery Council.

Nigel has also recently opened a parent / child community web site

provides support, information, recipes and advice to parents and
teachers of early years children.
As part of his work
with the Grub4Life Community Nigel and his team have been
requested
by a number of schools and Children's Centres to provide in school
Cookery and Nutrition Classes for School Cooks and their
staff. these have been enormously popular and continue apace through
2010.

Nigel trained as a dietician at Glasgow Caledonian University, following
an established career in the catering industry. He is also a qualified
chef and previously owned his own restaurant. His dietetic career began
as a Research Dietician at the Human Nutrition Research Centre in
Newcastle upon Tyne. After a period working as a Community Dietician,
Nigel left the NHS to join Boots Health and Beauty Experience
where he led the delivery and training of Nutrition and Weight
Management services.

In 2003 Nigel set up his own Nutrition consultancy,
delivering a clinical service to Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s
Hospital Women’s Health Clinic and the International Eating
Disorders Centre in Buckinghamshire as well as acting as Nutrition
Consultant for the Childbase Children’s Nursery Group.
Nigel also runs his own Private practice in Harley Street specialising
in Weight Management, PMS / Menopause, Irritable Bowel Syndrome
and food intolerance. He is a member of the expert panel for the
Nutrition and Health Show and consumer dietetic advisor for
Complete Nutrition magazine. In 2006 the Food Standards Agency DVD “Eatwell”
featuring Nigel won a Silver Screen award at the US International Film
and Video awards.
