Dr. Kristina Downing Orr is part of that new breed of specialists who can impart knowledge in a friendly and understandable form.  Kristina is an acclaimed Broadcaster who works across BBC TV and Radio, ITV, Channel 4, Five and Sky commenting on all aspects of human behaviour ranging from phobias, to depression, sex and happiness.  She is a fully qualified clinical psychologist specialising in social anthropology, health, psychology, science and social affairs. Kristina is also a working journalist for, amongst others, the Guardian and the New York Times writing features on social issues.   • Specialising in Alcohol and drug misuse, depression, anxiety, Phobias and relationship disorders.

1997 –2000 — Clinical Psychologist working for the Warwickshire NHS Trust.

  • Main responsibilities including carrying out psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions for a wide range of adult and childhood mental health problems.

1966 – 1999 — Corporate Psychologist and CEO of Corporate Solutions.

  • Main responsibilities included running the organisation and acting as consultant to various industries advising on presentation skills, stress management, leadership, creativity and organisational behaviour.

1994 –1966 — Post-Doctoral Researcher at Queen’s College, Oxford University.
Conducted research and wrote a book on clinical depression entitled Rethinking Depression: Why current treatments fail (Plenum Press 1997)
