Stubborn Weightloss

Sometimes when you try to lose weight and exercise hard it can be frustrating if you don’t lose anything significant. One reason could be that regular exercise builds strong muscles, and muscle weighs more heavily than the flab it replaces. It takes time and effort to rebuild strong muscle and to stretch out and tone your entire body. Perhaps you could jog twice a week? If that is too strenuous I recommend you walk for half an hour every day instead. But it must be a brisk walk to keep your metabolic rate up.

Hangovers

I for one love a drink (or two) of white wine given a social occasion with friends. But hangovers I don’t enjoy and too much of a good thing ceases to be fun. Hangovers are caused by drinking too much alcohol; the amount to cause them varies according to an individual’s height, weight, metabolism and frequency of drinking. Symptoms include a thick head, dry mouth, nausea, trembling and a blinding headache behind the eyes.

Getting Over Divorce

Breaking up is a hard and emotionally draining experience, getting over the ex is difficult and sometimes appears to be impossibility. Although your self esteem will be at rock bottom it’s a unique opportunity to turn the negative into a positive by giving you the chance for change and improvements to the way you look and feel about yourself. Use this to take stock and learn ways to boost your self-confidence. Make the most of your assets, adopt a new attitude, keep an open mind and have a determined attitude to start again. Who knows – perhaps the best is yet to come! Here are a few hints to help you achieve this:

Hair Care

For me there is nothing worse than a bad hair day, it affects my mood and my confidence! I find it pays to look after my locks as best I can by investing in a good hair cut, reviewing the colour and condition and by eating healthily.

Coffee

I love my coffee! Moderate coffee consumption of four to five cups per day is safe and may even confer some health benefits. It takes approx 20 mins for caffeine to get into one’s system and most of us find we are more mentally alert after 1-2 cups. In the UK we drink an average of 3 cups of coffee a day and 4 -5 cups is considered OK but in moderation! 7 cups is heavy use although in Scandinavia they are known to drink 11 cups a day!
